The Southern Circuit Tour of Independent Filmmakers brings the best of independent film to communities across the South. As a new Screening Partner, WSLR will work collaboratively with South Arts to develop exciting new programming; the first being an in-person screening of the selected film \"Stateless\".\

The documentary film, Stateless shines a light on the crisis in the Dominican Republic where those of Haitian descent have been stripped of citizenship and the grassroots campaign of electoral hopeful Rosa Iris. Stateless follows Rosa Iris Diendomi, a community organizer and attorney whose father was a Haitian migrant, as she mounts a campaign challenging electoral corruption and advocating for social justice.\

The film will be screened at Fogartyville Community Media and Arts Center on Tuesday, September 14th, at 7 pm. \

WSLR+ Fogartyville is partnering with Margwine Organization, Inc. and will be collecting relief supplies to be sent to Haiti to aid in the recent earthquake disaster.
