About This Event

We have put together a stellar line-up of Belgian Beers for you - One beer from each of the original seven beer-producing Trappist monasteries in the world!!! "A Trappist beer is a beer brewed by or under control of Trappist monks. There are a total of 174 Trappist monasteries worldwide (as of April 2011); only seven (six in Belgium and one in the Netherlands) produce Trappist beer and are authorized to label their beers with the Authentic Trappist Product logo that indicates a compliance to the various rules of the International Trappist Association..." Chimay, Orval, Rochefort, Westmalle, Achel, Le Trappe and Westvletern will each have one beer as a part of this special event... Saturday, August 28th - 8pm start... We will be sprinkling in a bit of the history of Belgian beers, the role of the Trappist Monks in Belgian beer and some tasting notes on each of the beers we will be drinking... ticket includes... One glass of each of the seven beers selected for this event... All of the beers will be carefully paired by our chef-team with delectable dishes of cheese, charcuterie and accoutrement! A five-ounce pour of each of the following: Orval Westmalle Dubbel Achel Dubbel Chimay Tripel Le Trappe Tripel Rochefort 10 Westvletern 12 Ticket cost is $80/person...
