About This Event
At a meeting of the Tampa Bay Sea Kayakers, Joe Webb, president of the Florida Paddling Trails Association, will discuss his organization’s efforts to build a strong paddling community in Tampa Bay and around the state and the ways they hope to collaborate with local groups to develop and protect paddling trails and to serve as a resource and voice for Florida paddlers.
FPTA's three-pronged mission is to:
• Develop paddling trails
• Protect the environment along those trails
• Serve as a resource and voice for Florida paddlers.
With COVID19 stay-at-home orders behind us, thousands moving to Florida daily, and masses wanting to experience the great outdoors and water resources, opportunity is at our door to educate paddlers about Florida's water trails, paddling them safely, and serving as waterway stewards. A single paddle club cannot fulfill all of these needs and FPTA cannot achieve its mission without help from local paddling clubs. We depend on volunteers.
We'll talk about how we can collaborate to make paddling fun and safe for all.
